Joe is the co-founder of elevation 6225 and its parent company, GLA Morris Construction. In spite of his business success, Joe doesn’t take himself too seriously and is known for being a practical joker who won’t back down from a challenge.

The Evolution of elevation 6225

From Humble Roots…

Best friends, Joe Morris and Tom Grossman, found our parent company, GLA Morris Construction in 1995, with just one employee. The company begins building new homes in the resort mountain town of Truckee, California.

Developing A Rep

Although GLA Morris started out tiny, by 1998 it’s become a force to be reckoned with. In just three years, the company’s known for its specialty – new custom homes, condominiums, and townhomes in Truckee and the surrounding North Tahoe region.

Meeting Milestones

GLA Morris continues to grow and in 2002, establishes its commercial building division. The company then goes on to build the Skyridge Courtyard Shopping Center (Auburn, CA), Plumas Bank (Truckee), Brickelltown Historic Downtown Restoration (Truckee) & the Tahoe-Truckee Airport Administration Building.

Breaking New Ground

In 2004, GLA Morris begins developing 40 acres of forested land in Historic Truckee to create the Winter Creek subdivision—valued at $52 million. This is a huge (successful!) project, offering underground utilities and custom floor plans for 147 single family homes.

Launching elevation 6225

Joe Morris and his wife, Sandy, launch Elevation 6225 in the summer of 2018. Because they want to make high-end remodeling a seamless, enjoyable process for clients, their focus is on delivering a delightful journey with an innovative solution called the Total Homeowner Experience™ .
